Your contribution will be pivotal in the history of space exploration, demanding commitment to safe, repeatable spaceflight.
Responsibilities:
- Precisely locate critical tooling interfaces using laser trackers and metrology arms.
- Inspect all components and assemblies for blueprint conformance, including GD&T interpretation.
- Interface with leadership to align work priorities with schedules and goals.
- Ensure product quality and adherence to engineering specifications.
- Collaborate on design improvements for tooling fabrication.
- Implement safety and efficiency enhancements.
- Perform duties that support mission objectives.
- Work in elevated or confined spaces.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years in tooling assembly, preferably aerospace.
- Extensive experience with laser trackers/metrology arms for alignment and data collection.
- Proficient in blueprint interpretation for tool assembly.
- Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, and effective in fast-paced team settings.
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
- Proven teamwork across diverse, geographically spread teams.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical skills; able to manage complex projects independently.
- Skilled with precision tools like torque wrenches, micrometers, laser trackers.
- Experience with heavy equipment like cranes and forklifts.
- Advanced assembly skills, including hardware installation and tooling assembly.
Desired:
- Experience with large tooling components.
- Flexibility to work off-hours, overtime, or weekends as needed.
- Basic computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office.
