Rehabilitation Services Technician (Riley - PRN Student!!)

We are looking for additional team members to support our Outpatient Rehabilitation Services clinics with shifts available on the east side of Indianapolis, west side of Indianapolis, downtown Indianapolis, and Carmel. Our Rehab Techs support some elements of patient care under the direct supervision of the clinician(s) (mobility assistance, casting assistance, feeding assistance in videofluoroscopic swallow studies.) Largely, our techs support excellent care by ensuring our environment and materials are clean, organized, equipped, etc.
Participates in operational aspects of the department and maintains performance improvement activities as required. Participates in all infection control, department equipment training, regulatory compliance, organizational safety and fire safety programs. Orders, distributes and maintains designated and appropriate inventory of department related supplies. May perform scheduling, customer service and some clerical duties.
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA within 6 months of hire. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- Requires successful completion of the rehabilitation technician training program within 3 months of hire.
- Student in healthcare program preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Rehab experience preferred.
- Requires familiarity with patient lifting and handling procedures.
