Position Overview:
The Program Manager, Health & Safety Information Systems is responsible for the administration of risk management and health and safety information systems. The role involves configuring forms and programs, generating reports and dashboards, providing data analysis and guidance, facilitating system projects, and identifying and implementing system improvements in support of organizational objectives. This role serves as the bridge between the safety team, business stakeholders, and technical teams. This role focuses on gathering requirements, mapping and improving processes, and ensuring that health and safety systems support business needs. The Program Manager will help define, document, and implement processes that enhance data quality, reporting accuracy, and compliance outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with safety leaders to identify reporting, compliance, and operational needs.
- Gather, document, and translate requirements for safety programs, systems, and dashboards.
- Map existing H&S processes and identify and implement improvements.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation related to HS systems.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, reports and dashboard to align KPIs, metrics, and system usage.
- Coordinate with IT, data, and operations teams to implement system changes and integrations
- Monitor adoption of tools and processes; deliver training as needed.
- Track and report on project progress and impact.
- Subject Matter Expert of HS Systems, ensuring availability and accessibility for end users
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in safety operations, business analysis, or process improvement.
- Strong facilitation, documentation, and requirements gathering skills.
- Proficient in Excel, SharePoint, and workflow mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
- Familiarity with H&S systems and data management practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of OSHA, ISO 45001, and other safety management frameworks.
- Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification.
- Familiarity with XML, Javascript, HTML or CSS.
- Proven results in a remote environment.
