About The Role

GEICO is hiring a Manager, Strategic Analytics, to join their Claims Innovation team. As a Manager, you will lead Strategic Analytics efforts in identifying, analyzing, and implementing opportunities to improve our strategies, market approach, processes, and technology. This role partners with cross-functional teams within and without Claims Innovation to deliver innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Innovation: Support ongoing initiatives, develop, pitch, and drive innovation opportunities, and provide detailed insights on results, outcomes, next steps, and expansion. Show a persistent and deep curiosity that drives unique and creative solutions to challenges that drive long-term success across workstreams.
  • Analytics and Insights: Focus on driving analytics and insights using critical thinking and creative research approaches to support the GEICO enterprise, particularly within the Strategic Analytics division of the Claims Innovation Department.
  • Team Management: Manage, hire, and mentor strategic analysts to ensure success across projects, improve hard and soft skills, and maintain a positive, inclusive, open, and supportive culture.
  • Strategic, Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, AI, R&D, Data Science, Business Line, and Executive teams) to develop and implement claims innovation strategies.
  • Presentation & Communication: Deliver actionable solutions that translate these strategies through clear and impactful presentations for the business to implement.
  • Advisory Role: Guide stakeholders on the interpretation, implications, and projected outcomes of proposed strategies or solutions. Lead workshops, ideation sessions, or design sprints to uncover creative solutions and innovative best practices to business problems.
  • Program Management: Design, implement, and manage pilot programs, POCs, or A/B testing to evaluate new products/features, with defined success and expansion criteria.
  • Workflow Optimization: Analyze and enhance existing claims workflows for greater efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Cultural and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Advocacy: Foster a culture of innovation, agility, continuous improvement, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Trend Adoption: Keep abreast of industry, market, and company trends and champion innovative claims processing approaches, techniques, and capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in strategy and analytics, especially within Insurance or Insurtech preferred.
  • Proven success driving strategy, developing analytic insights, and/or transformation in a comparable organization or as a vendor to similar companies.
  • Significant background in analytics, data-driven storytelling, business transformation, supporting executive stakeholders, and working with matrixed stakeholder groups across departments and functions.
  • Show a persistent and deep curiosity that drives unique and creative solutions to challenges that drive long-term success across workstreams.
  • Experience as a leader and/or team lead responsible for developing, leading, and implementing analytics and strategy efforts with a preference for experience mentoring and developing highly engaged, high-performing teams.
