Responsibilities:

  • Review design packages for completeness and manufacturability;
  • Assign manufacturing processes & production standards in ERP system;
  • Provide production standards and time estimates to internal customers;
  • Manage budget vs. actual data and essential reporting;
  • Help expedite critical jobs;
  • Support Design for Manufacturability efforts;
  • Provide support / assistance for procurement team;
  • Participate in inventory management efforts;
  • Participate in project kick-offs, production team meetings and execution strategies;
  • Lead “make vs. buy” decisions utilizing internal capacity planning tools and strategic outsourcing;
  • Provide feedback for areas of improvement in shop (i.e., workflow efficiency);
  • Process work records and / or documentation as required; and
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Experience / Skills:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent degree required;
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
  • Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints including GD&T;
  • High attention to detail and quality;
  • Ability to adequately manage workload under pressure;
  • Team player with useful organizational and time management skills;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Ability to keep work area clean and organized; and
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment, measuring tools, processes / procedures, Etc.
