- Identify, counteract, and prevent negative experiences at scale including content or behavior that seek to deceive people, artificially boost distribution, or abuse product features.
- Identify methods to detect spam and abuse, surface trends, and insights globally, and partner cross-functionally with product/engineering, policy, and data teams to intelligently scale our operations.
- Work to improve the overall user experience by delivering qualitative and quantitative insight into user behavior.
- Identify areas for process improvement, help intelligently scale operations by optimizing and automating processes.
- Develop a deep understanding of spam and other nefarious behavior and how it affects Facebook, Instagram, and our communities.
- Gather, analyze, and represent on scale user trends to improve the overall user support experience.
- Use signals and insights to identify opportunities to drive down spam and other nefarious behaviors.
- Analyze metrics to improve efficiency of spam detection workflows.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Managers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Automation Developers, Policy and Legal to identify, influence, and execute Facebook’s abuse fighting strategies.
- Communicate insights around the spam ecosystem to the cross-functional partners.
- Develop and lead end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery of critical initiatives.
- Use problem solving skills to resolve scalable spam problems.
- Work on multiple different workflows with vendors and execute on key long-term strategic initiatives and projects.
- Address sensitive content issues, including graphic images, videos and writings, offensive or derogatory language, and other objectionable material.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, or related field and experience in the job offered or a computer-related occupation.
- Experience must include 24 months involving the following:
- 1. Identifying trends and insights from large data sets
- 2. Using signals and insights to identify opportunities to drive down spam and other nefarious behavior
- 3. Managing programs or projects against KPIs through competition
- 4. Leading strategic implementation and planning for risk and growth.
