About the role

Description

The Business Analyst will provide direct support to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in executing business management, strategic communication, and organizational support activities. This role is responsible for analyzing business processes, preparing reports and deliverables, and providing decision support to senior leadership. The analyst will work closely with government staff to ensure requirements are captured, documented, and executed in alignment with DHA’s mission objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Business Execution Support

  • Assist in the development, documentation, and monitoring of DHA business operations, policies, and procedures.
     
  • Analyze current workflows and recommend process improvements for efficiency and compliance.
     
  • Support preparation of reports, dashboards, and executive-level briefings.
     

Strategic Communication Support

  • Develop and maintain communication materials (presentations, talking points, newsletters, stakeholder updates).
     
  • Ensure clear, concise, and consistent messaging across DHA business units.
     
  • Assist with internal and external stakeholder engagement initiatives.
     

Mentor-Protégé Program Support

  • Track and analyze mentor-protégé program activities and compliance with DHA/DoD requirements.
     
  • Document and report program performance metrics.
     
  • Provide recommendations to improve program effectiveness.
     

General Contract Support

  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze program and project data to support decision-making.
     
  • Draft meeting minutes, action item trackers, and coordination packages.
     
  • Support administrative and logistical tasks necessary for business execution and reporting.
     

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or related field.
     
  • Experience:
     
    • Minimum 3–5 years of business analysis, program support, or related federal contracting experience.
       
    • Demonstrated experience preparing reports, process documentation, or stakeholder communications.
       
  • Knowledge & Skills:
     
    • Strong understanding of federal program management, contracting, or healthcare-related business processes.
       
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
       
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
       
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
