About the role

We are looking for a Working Student - Accounting (m/f/d) to join our Accounts Receivable team at our modern Head Office in Venlo, near the German border in the Netherlands. In this role, you will provide daily support to the Treasury by assisting in various processes. This opportunity is ideal for someone currently pursuing studies in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and looking to gain hands-on experience.

The position is available for several months, giving you the chance to learn about Accounts Receivable operations while contributing to the team's efficiency in a supportive role.

What you will do

• Provide general support to the Accounts Receivable team, assisting with daily administrative and operational tasks.
• Help process and organize incoming payments, ensuring accurate allocation and documentation and executing credit notes for our customers.
• Support the reconciliation of customer accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist in maintaining updated records in internal systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Respond to routine queries from internal and external stakeholders related to payments and account statuses.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks to alleviate the team’s workload and streamline operations.

Qualifications

About you

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (no need for extensive work experience).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle routine tasks efficiently and with care.
• Familiarity with basic Excel functions and a willingness to learn accounting software.
• Good communication skills, with proficiency in English (spoken and written); German or Dutch language skills are a plus.
• Must be a citizen of an EU member country or hold a valid work permit for the Netherlands.
