The Team
The Child Safety Service is committed to keeping children and young people safe from harm and ensuring they are well cared for. Some children and young people may not be safe at home. We support you until it’s safe to go home again, or safe to live somewhere else. Our job is to provide safety and stability.
About the Role
Under the supervision of the Service Development Manager, provide support to children and families who are subject to Child Safety intervention under the Children, Young Persons and Their Families Act 1997. Coordinate and assist a team of support workers to cultivate children growing up in a safe and supportive environment, including providing transport and supervision of client access visits.

About You
- You hold a current drivers licence
- You hold a current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
- Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
- 1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
a) crimes of violence
b) sex related offences
c) serious drug offences
d) crimes involving dishonesty
e) serious traffic offences - 2. Identification check
- 3. Disciplinary actions in previous employment check
