Job Description

CyberSource Corporation, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Senior Software Test Engineer (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to:

• Design and implement test solutions and take them to production with high quality and completing all testing phases, following an agile methodology.
• Gather and clarify requirements, facilitating communication with other groups within the organization, and guiding architectural decisions.
• Work with Java based automation framework, designing and building tools/utilities, test data management, and improving overall testing effectiveness.
• Write and execute detailed test plans, test design and test cases covering feature integration, regression, certification and system level testing, as well as release validation in production.
• Debug and troubleshoot in Linux/Unix container based applications servers.
• Responsible for test planning, test scenarios creation, test data creation and executing test cases as well as preparing test data based on business scenarios and creating tools and scripts to manufacture test data.
• Position reports to the Employer's Foster City, CA office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and two years of experience in the job offered or in a computer related occupation.
• Coding and testing applications.
• Java, JavaScript, J2EE, XML, unit-testing, shell-scripting and RDBMS.
• UI/UX automation with Selenium and multi-browser testing.
• Java based automation framework.
• CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins and TestNg.
• Cassandra, Solr, or Nosql.
• Unit testing, test-driven development and security performance testing.
• Debugging and troubleshooting in Tomcat, VertX, WebSphere, Docker, or Kubernetes environments.
• Testing in an AGILE environment.
• Testing environment migration, DB, and infrastructure/system upgrades.

Additional Information

Worksite: Foster City, CA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements:  This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $98,000.00 USD to $152,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
