This position is part of the Oregon Health Authority’s Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) Operations team. A coordinated care organization is a network of all types of health care providers (physical health care, addictions and mental health care and dental care providers) who work together in their local communities to serve people who receive health care coverage under the Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid). Today, there are 16 CCOs operating in communities around Oregon.
The CCO Quality of Care and Quality Assurance team oversees and ensures compliance with federal regulations for Oregon’s Medicaid Managed Care program. The team is responsible for quality management functions—including quality control, assurance, planning, improvement initiatives, and contractual oversight of Managed Care Organizations (MCOs).
The unit collaborates with internal and external partners—including CCOs, OHP members, Behavioral Health programs, Health Policy and Analytics, Equity and Inclusion, Program Integrity, Medicaid policy, Hearings, and CCO Operations—to strengthen regulatory oversight and drive quality improvement.
