PURPOSE
The Program Manager for Workforce Development will be responsible for overseeing all online continuing education programs, working with third party contracted course providers, facilitating engagement with local, state and federal participant funding agents and developing new extension services infrastructure and entrepreneurial activities. This employee will also develop and deliver university youth programs with focus on workforce development, research and recruitment.
DESCRIPTION
Workforce Development: 80%
- Oversee and manage all online continuing education and workforce development programs
- Build and manage relationships with external employers and non-academic education partners
- Develop and support staff and faculty intellectual capital extension services
Youth Programs: 20%
- Develop and deliver innovative youth programs with focus on workforce development, research and recruitment
- Support faculty and staff in developing and delivering innovative youth programs with focus on workforce development, research and recruitment.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Five (5) years in a position with responsibilities for professional development and/or continuing education, with some to include experience in higher education and with youth programs
- Capable of designing and delivering innovative programs to a variety of populations
- Able to work in online learning management systems
- Capable of utilizing various mediums for promotion and marketing activities
- Knowledge of workforce development programs and needs
- Exemplary service excellence experience
WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE
- Five (5) years of professional experience in higher education
- History of successful leadership roles in workforce development, continuing education and entrepreneurial partnerships
SALARY RANGE: $55,000 - $60,000 Annually, Depending on Education and/or Experience
