Team Lead Non-functional Testing

This role is part of the Technical Assurance team within the Payments Settlements department, Business Services Group. Business Services Group is responsible for the provision of banking and payments services to Australian Government agencies, the provision of payment settlement services to Australian financial system participants through the Reserve Bank Information and Transfer System (RITS) and the Fast Settlement Service (FSS), the conduct of Exchange Settlement Accounts and the production and issuance of Australian banknotes.

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead to join our Technical Assurance team within Payments Settlements department.

Key Objectives:

• Leading the non-functional test strategy definition and implementation for Payments Settlements Portfolio projects and BAU changes, encompassing approach for performance, failover, recovery, and other non-functional testing types based on the requirements for mission critical payments settlements systems. 
• Uplifting the overall non-functional test process maturity and shift-left test capabilities.  
• Lead and develop individuals and teams to achieve goals and deliver target outcomes.
• Support your manager in a variety of strategic, managerial and day to day tasks that include heavy coordination and maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders, project delivery team and other project/BAU teams.
• Support coordination and planning of testing activities of systems in the Payment Settlements (PS) department aimed at minimising risk while achieving high levels of quality, in the most pragmatic manner.
• Ensure consistent application of testing standards, practices, and processes, whilst aiming for continuous improvement to achieve value-based practices.
• Work with the development team, operations, extended IT team and other sections to drive quality improvements particularly in the non-functional testing space, and to foster a quality mindset.

Your Background

• Extensive experience in the leading, planning, supporting the testing of non-functional changes to mission critical systems.
• Proven ability to lead, direct and guide the work of NFT team members including setting goals and prioritising of work to achieve target outcomes.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills in managing challenges with "Shift-Left" implementation approach.
• Experience and understanding of agile concepts and its implementation.
• Knowledge and experience with payments and settlements systems will be a plus.
• Expertise in Swift platform is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, Computer Science or other relevant discipline
• ISTQB Advance Level or equivalent test certifications.
