Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe sanitary work environment. Prepares food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standard. Demonstrates proper orderliness of food handling techniques. Adheres to safety practices, exhibit proper safety procedures, form good safety habits, reports hazards to supervisors. Checks schedule for shift use, determines necessary preparation - freezer pull and line set up with requisitions to the storeroom, cafeteria, banquet and tray line. Assist in prep work for next shift requirements. Checks schedule for shift use, determines necessary preparation - freezer pull and line set up with requisitions to the storeroom, cafeteria, banquet and tray line. Performs Catering Services effectively.

This is a full-time day shift position 11:00am-7:00pm Including weekends and holidays, located at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Preferred Criteria:

• 1 year of food service or related experience.

Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Computer literacy
