As part of a high functioning Agile team using JIRA, the Data Engineer will be integrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting solutions for business applications and their databases assuring quality, security and compliance requirements are met. Using SQL skills, this position will be involved in the creation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a variety of data sources at all levels from simple queries to creation and design of complex data workflows.  LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY. HYBRID ONSITE REQUIRED. NO SPONSORSHIPS.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Design, develop and deliver SQL code that is necessary to support new feature development
• Deliver unit tests and automated tests to prove correctness, robustness, and scalability
• Interface with 3rd party data vendors to create and support new ETL, API consumption, and data pipelines
• Work with modern data architecture including emerging ETL tools and NOSQL environment
• Provide innovative ideas and solutions in an ever-changing environment
• Possess solid communication skills and a strong customer focus
• Ability to address issues and mitigate risks
• Work well in a team atmosphere, comfortable assisting other team members and being assisted by them

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• 2 Year college degree/certificate or business-related field preferred
• 5+ years SQL Server equivalent RDBMS experience
• 5+ years SSIS or equivalent ETL experience
• 2+ years Azure or equivalent Cloud experience
• NOSQL experience preferred
• 2-3 years scripting/programming languages preferred.
• Prior experience with orchestration and RPA technologies preferred.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills required.
• Strong experience with database design: SQL/MongoDB/Snowflake
