The Role: 

Our site in Decatur, Texas is seeking Quality Lab Supervisor – Machine Shop to join our team. This role ensures that all quality standards are met and maintained. The Quality Lab Supervisor will lead and manage the quality technicians, coordinating with other departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of quality-related tasks. This position is crucial in maintaining high standards of product quality and customer satisfaction. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Supervise quality laboratory activities and quality technicians that support the onsite machine shop. 
• Oversee all quality laboratory activities, including in-process inspections, receiving inspection, and customer reports. 

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality-related tasks are completed accurately and on time. 

• Oversee the completion of certifications and other quality-related documentation as requested by customers, receiving inspections from vendors, over inspection of onsite production, and other quality production activities. 

• Analyze and resolve work problems, coach employees in solving work problems, and proactively address issues with supportive documentation. 

• Maintain time and production records 

• Ensure employees are trained on procedures relating to safety, product, quality, and all other company policies 

• Appropriately address and escalate safety, ethical, or operational issues as. 

• Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals  

What We Seek: 

• Associates or Bachelors degree preferred, plus minimum 5 years in a quality environment or combination of education and experience. 

• Ability to provide leadership and drive a continuous improvement culture through open communication. 

• High degree of accountability and integrity while achieving the best results possible. 

• An effective communicator with all levels of the organization. 

• Experience in a supervisory/lead role preferred. 

• Strong computer skills with MS Office (required), SAP/ERP (preferred) and PowerBI (desirable) experience. 

• Personal experience in working in an ISO 9001/AS 9100, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 environment a plus.

• Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.
