Join our team at our brand-new, state-of-the-art kitchen! We are adding one more Chef de Partie (Line Cook) to our culinary team. The Chef de Partie will prepare high-quality food, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure all dishes are prepared according to Winery Chef's recipes and standards.

This role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and the ability to work evening shifts as needed.

Job Description

  • Prepare, season, and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, following recipes and portion standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, fryers, and slicers
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation while ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance standards
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals during service
  • Assist with receiving and properly storing kitchen inventory and supplies
  • Monitor food quality and freshness, ensuring ingredients meet company standards
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of knives and kitchen equipment

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of line cook experience or a similar role in a fast-paced, professional kitchen (depending on the establishment)
  • Experience with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment
  • Familiarity with specific cuisines or menu items may be required based on the restaurant’s focus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school training or coursework is preferred but not required
  • Food Handler’s Certification is preferred but may be required upon being hired, depending on local regulations
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation regulations, such as ServSafe certification, is desired
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • Understanding of proper use of kitchen equipment, such as stoves, refrigeration, slicers, and knives
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Pay Range: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience.
