Position Overview

This perinatal nurse position is a part of a fast-paced, critical program that provides expertise and nursing leadership to ensure the highest standards of care for women throughout the reproductive cycle and their infants are met. This position is one of 4 nurses who, under the general supervision of the Perinatal Nurse Administrator, evaluate the designation and redesignation of birthing hospitals and perinatal centers to ensure compliance with state statute. This position will coordinate and monitor Maternal and Child Health (MCH) program activities, including audits, confidential medical records, individual care plans, and overall medical care coordination. This position will also develop educational materials, conduct statewide training sessions, and serve as a trusted nurse consultant to healthcare providers and administrators.
