Shift Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
*Hours may change as necessary to support football operations*
Wages: $28.56/hr.
JOB SUMMARY: The Utility Maintenance – Practice Facility position will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of The University of Kansas Health System Training Complex by performing various cleaning duties. Duties and hours may vary. Employer shall have the exclusive right to make the final decision on staffing at the Practice Facility. The Utility Maintenance Practice Facility cleaner may be responsible for any or all the following tasks:
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Restrooms: Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, urinals, mirrors, floors, etc. Utilize Kaivac machine to clean and sanitize restrooms and showers. Stock restrooms and showers with appropriate supplies and paper products. Polish metalwork such as fixtures and fittings. Clean partitions and railings. Dust/wash walls. Dust vents and lights.
2. Floors: Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and dust baseboards. Use Orbot machine to treat carpet stains. Use appropriate equipment to clean tile and grout. Clean black granite along staircases and mezzanines. Other floor work may be required such as scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors. Vacuum all offices, under desks, all hallways, all mezzanines, and staircases daily. Use the hose extension to vacuum around walls, corners, under desks, and hard to reach places.
3. Breakrooms / Kitchenettes: Clean and disinfect sinks, faucets, handles, countertops, shelves and shelving units, tables, chairs, cabinets, drawers, microwave, coffee machine, refrigerators, toasters, copiers, etc. Replenish breakroom supplies. Load dishwasher, start it, and unload it as needed (typically on Fridays). Clean sinks, drains, and garbage disposals with appropriate cleaner.
4. Cafe Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, dust and empty wastebaskets and recyclables. Wipe and disinfect all surfaces including trash bin counters, cafe tables and chairs. Clean and disinfect back of house cafe restroom.
5. Dust: Dust all but not limited to furniture, office furniture, electronics, printer and copiers, computer screens, keyboards, mouse, tablets, phones, any equipment, partitions, windowsill’s etc.
6. Trash: Empty wastebaskets and recyclables, transport to disposal area, reline waste bins using correct liner. Check all waste bins regularly and clean out bottom of dried liquid, stickiness, anything that could attract bugs.
7. Office Duties: Clean rugs, carpet, and upholstered furniture, using vacuum cleaner and other equipment. Wash walls, windows, door panels, partitions, windowsills, showers, cabinets, desks, shelves, etc. Clean/dust electronics including screens, keyboards, computer mouse, telephone, wires, etc. Clean desk and surface area, clean shelves, cabinets, drawers, all sides, top, bottom, of all units. Wipe desk partitions and cubicles. Clean glass in cubicles. Disinfect/sanitize using Clorox 360 machine if necessary.
8. Football Team Theatres: Wipe all surfaces of each seat, inside and out, wipe legs and feet of seat. Wipe out cupholders, clean desks. Clean all free-standing chairs. Thorough vacuum throughout room, using hose extension to vacuum underneath seats. Clean podiums, desks, stands, trash cans, miscellaneous items in room. Dust walls, vents, and lights.
9. Clean Football Areas: Clean football areas including but not limited to the staff locker rooms, training room, weight room, equipment room, and restrooms. Disinfect/sanitize using Clorox 360 machine if necessary.
10. Elevators: Sweep/vacuum and mop elevator tile, clean stainless-steel and siding, clean elevator thresholds.
11. Fork, Boom, and Aerial Lifts: use of the forklift, boom lift, and aerial lift as needed to complete work.
12. Snow Removal: This position will assist in snow removal at the Practice Facility
13. Arrowhead: Ensure Arrowhead Stadium service level is ready for gameday and large events and closed out after all games and events. This includes work at Arrowhead the week leading into game or event and immediately following any event or game.
14. Communicators and 24/7: Appropriately utilize the Communicator daily/nightly and 24/7 applications including but not limited to CMMS (Work Orders), and Checkpoint (Patrols). Start tasks, mark tasks complete when complete.
