Logistics Team Member [12 Months, Part-time]

 

Position Description

 

The successful candidate will report to the Logistics Manager, Networks Customer Care Centre (NCCC) within the ESB Networks business. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping NCCC become a more data-driven organisation. The NCCC Logistics & Application Support team provides a service to all ESB Networks Customer Experience teams including the Scheduling Support Centre and New Connections. The role is part time in nature (12 hours/week) and is a temporary position for 12 months.

 

 

 Key Responsibilities  

 

The role of the team member is to undertake Data Analysis and Reporting, helping NCCC to extract value from the data available within the NCCC systems. Some of the tasks required as part of the role are:

 

• To work with stakeholders to look at resolving data issues by creating reports and dashboards.
• Provide data analytics and BI capability to data owners in supporting key business decisions.
• Proactively look for ways to use data analytics solution to help the business teams move to a data driven approach to decision making.
• Understanding the Data that is stored in key NCCC systems and maintaining its integrity.
• To diagnose and fix issues with reports/dashboards.
• Perform basic data modelling in delivery of solutions.
• Diagnose performance related issues if relevant.
• Regular engagement with the Networks Data Analytics team to ensure work is delivered in line with Governance and Data Protection policies, standards, and procedures.

 

 

 Experience and Qualifications  

 

Essential

 

• Some previous experience working with data to solve business problems.
• Excellent communications skills with an ability to present findings to business stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a team environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to take the lead in delivering data related solutions to key business stakeholders.
• Being innovative in approach and being able to demonstrate ability to actively contribute to a team that delivers results.
• Some prior experience of Power BI or similar for creating reports / dashboards / KPI metrics etc.
• Some prior experience writing SQL, ideally MS SQL server.

 

Desirable

 

• Any data specific qualifications or business experience are a distinct advantage.
• Any exposure to Data Science initiatives.
• Ability to write Python and R.

 

 

Location

 

This position is based in ESB Networks, Sarsfield Road, Wilton, Cork.

 

 

Reporting To

 

The successful candidate will report to the Networks Customer Care Centre Logistics Manager.
