Maintenance A (Senior Tech 2) Job Description

• Following all safety rules and practices
• Performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components; and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels.
• Performing emergency / break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations.
• Accurately using measurement and test equipment.
• Performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other repairs and installations as needed.
• Maintaining clean and organized work areas, and cleaning work areas as part of completing assigned tasks.
• Accurately and completely prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork.
• Trouble-shooting and solving problems.
• Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem solving skills.
• Willingness to fully cross train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.
• Able to use SAP/Excel for creating, logging time and completing work orders.
• Ability to complete End of Shift reports and email to leaders and management.
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervision.
• Contractor Training and Safety Rules for contractors when new on-site.
• Perform and complete PMs on machines in timely manner.
• Research and obtain correct information for ordering parts.
• Attend outside training related to maintenance.
• Operate all types of hand tools (i.e. drill press, grinder, wire brush, acetylene torch, etc.) normally found in a Maintenance shop
• Able to examine and determine to what degree parts have worn, and repair or replace parts as needed. 
• Perform fabrication of equipment (welding both arc and gas) to desired needs.  Be able to make adjustments on equipment to improve productivity. Be able to identify and locate unusual sounds that indicate potential trouble. Be able to dismantle equipment to gain access to defective parts.
• Troubleshoot, repair, modify and rebuild mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components.
• Weld, braze, solder and perform technical machine work when required.
• Install and remove machinery as needed.
