Inside the Role

Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA’s core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.

Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.

The eMobility Product Strategy team at Daimler Truck North America is looking for an open-minded, passionate & sustainability-focused individual with a strategic eye. This individual has a comprehensive vision for how competitors, customers, technology and regulations shape the ZEV adoption within the North American Commercial Vehicle market. On a daily basis, this team member supports ongoing ZEV projects, assesses competitors and provides ideas for new efficient tools. Team collaboration, dynamic & data-driven analysis, customer-oriented problem-solving and staying up-to-date on ZEV market trends are essential to for this intern position.

Salary placement is determined by your anticipated graduation year and ranges between $21 - $30 per hour.

What You Drive at DTNA

• Support ongoing ZEV product projects: assist project lead on all project management topics (timeline, budget, technical concept, collaboration/ governance model) with focus on enabling progress and reaching next quality gates/ mile stones
• Lead specifically assigned sub-projects: ownership of smaller assignments such as deep-dives on open questions within projects or customer requests; assessing the problem, generate plan for solution, execute the plan, present results to executive management
• Support facilitation of project & team meetings: enable collaboration by bringing people together, driving conversations and decision making, tracking action items and holding folks accountable
• Design of new tools for the team: provide new approaches for tasks/ problems within the ZEV Strategy team, such as new software solutions for data analysis, financial evaluations
• Support project roadmapping and project prioritization activities for all ZEV project proposals: perform feasibility studies for new product offerings, provide business case outline for idea and generate recommendation on implementation

Knowledge You Should Bring

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s/PhD Program from an accredited college/university or have graduated within the last 12 months. 
• Passion for sustainability and zero emission technology
• Capability to understand the technical function of battery electric powertrain/ vehicles
• Open and creative mindset
• Strong collaboration skills
• Capability to motivate & inspire a team with new ideas
• Combine technical solutions with financial viability
