Senior Project Engineer (Kenilworth, NJ)

Doka USA Ltd is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Kenilworth, NJ) to determine and plan technical solutions for projects utilizing Doka formwork systems. Support sales by determining appropriate formwork solutions that meet the customer’s needs. Work with sales to produce AutoCAD drawings during the proposal stage, finalize working drawings for Doka USA forming systems, and provide material lists for quotations and shipments to the site. Provide guidance to customers regarding forming solutions, service job sites, and respond to questions concerning equipment usage. Produce and ensure that the drawings indicate the proper use of Doka USA forming equipment and that the drawings represent safe, economical, and efficient designs. Ensure the policies, procedures, programs, standards of performance and compliance are adhered to, and monitor conformance with contractual guidelines. Local telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week. 5% domestic travel required.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering or related field, and 3 years of concrete forming and shoring applications and design experience. Must have experience with: Scheduling projects to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects concurrently; Reading blue prints of various structures within the Infrastructure, High-rise, commercial and other building sectors; AutoCAD, project management software, and computer applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Creating drawings according to international standards; Preparing static analysis of concrete forming systems such as Shoring, scaffolding, and wall forms; Concrete forming systems and assisting field with correct assembly and use of systems according to field drawings; Conducting job-site visits and meetings with customer to ensure proper use of formwork and shoring systems in the Field; Concrete and common methods of forming structures built out of concrete; Creating Bill of materials based on drawings in order to provide pricing and delivery lists for projects; Building methodology and site logistics including construction equipment, building schedule and site constrains; Applying construction engineering know-how and on-the-job techniques with regard to formwork and shoring applications on a wide variety of projects including: civil, infrastructure, residential, commercial, tunnel and bridges and high-rise structures; and Formwork (ACI-347R, ACI-318, AASHTO, IBC 2017, AISC-15, ASCE 7-16, and OSHA) industry standards and regulations. 5% domestic travel required.
