: Materials Planning and Control Specialist- Bilingual Spanish

As a Specialist, Materials Planning and Control at RXO, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end management of North American container delivery projects to ensure on-time and flawless launches of vehicles. This role involves close coordination with Fabricators, Tier One suppliers and internal teams to maintain production schedules, resolve logistical issues and optimize supply chain processes.

 

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Coordinate and review delivery schedules with Fabricators and Tier One suppliers to ensure consistent program milestones are met
  • Conduct program reviews and meetings with suppliers to communicate program changes, address delivery statuses and resolve issues proactively
  • Provide daily support to suppliers, facilitating problem-solving for delivery issues, quality concerns and border/customs challenges
  • Implement standard and lean shipping containers, managing container program updates within the Container Scheduling Portal (CSP) for seamless delivery
  • Analyze capacity constraints with suppliers, manage truck orders and determine optimal truckload quantities to support production flow
  • Perform supplier evaluations, lead escalation calls and use the Supplier Practical Problem-Solving Tool to address non-compliance and corrective actions
  • Ensure all necessary documentation for customs is prepared and up to date while supporting annual training and compliance initiatives
  • Generate management reports on program status and delivery performance, contributing to special projects as required

 

What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • 1 year of related experience in procurement, logistics, transportation or supply chain management within the automotive industry

 

It’d be great if you also have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Proven experience with supply chain software and/or container management systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • The ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously
