Position Title: Contract Quality Auditor – Damage Prevention

When PAR set out to offer its electrical construction services, we knew we wanted to become the most trusted contractor of choice in the electrical industry. For us, that means offering clients the most knowledgeable crews - outfitted with the best tools and equipment made by the best manufacturers - and completing each project economically, efficiently, and safely. With great customer service in mind to support our local client (Xcel Energy), we are looking for a Contract Quality Auditor.
Responsibilities:
- Perform random and scheduled locate audits as assigned by Xcel Energy to ensure work is being completed in accordance with Company standards and in compliance with state and federal laws
- Communicate audit results with locate vendors to correct behaviors
- Document completed audits and details as required
- Monitor directional boring excavation activities to ensure locates are correct and acceptable boring practices are followed. Report risks as observed to Company representative
- Monitor and perform locate audits in high risk areas to ensure that excavators are following state one call laws and safe excavation practices
- Perform on site Toolbox meetings with excavators to present excavation best practices for digging around Xcel Energy buried facilities
- Back up for ticket screening as necessary
- Back up for Service Center Representatives as necessary
What You'll Bring
Must demonstrate the following abilities:
- 3 years or equivalent experience within the Damage Prevention industry
- Read and interpret gas and electric distribution and transmission field and engineering records and systems
- Ability to communicate effectively between Xcel Energy personnel and the excavating and field locating communities
- Understanding of industry and Xcel Energy’s excavation best excavation practices
- Well versed in all applicable state and federal laws governing the Damage Prevention industry
- Must maintain all Operator Qualification requirements
- Must have ability to locate and identify Xcel Energy’s buried facilities.
- Must have excellent communication and presentational skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to specialized software programs
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Professional to include Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Equipment Requirements:
- Company approved line locator
- Company approved ½ ton 4X4 pickup
- Field safety equipment to include but not limited to:
- Hard hat
- Safety Vest
- Traffic cones
- Company approved cellular phone and data package compatible with Xcel Energy systems
- Clothing allowance

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $25.00 - 28.00. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay
