Responsible for purchasing resort store’s inventory, manage inventory levels and help manage store front product displays. Main duties include submitting warehouse inventory reports, clearing any unwanted products from displays and monitoring the sales performance of products. They will also meet with vendors and systematically work to provide a variety of goods and products for the retail outlets, provide specifications, quantities/quality of items and develop new sources for required supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Follow the established and appropriate purchasing departmental policies and procedures for all orders, requisitions or other electronic documents.
- Ensure that the purchase orders, amendments, shipping notices, receivers and other applicable documents are controlled, maintained and filed in an organized and identified manner.
- Ensure that the established Resort and Tribal purchasing policies and procedures for dealing with and approving purchases from Tribal related entities, as well as from minority and women owned business, are strictly adhered to
- Research, investigate, evaluate and/or interview current, new or potential suppliers and distributors of retail goods necessary for the performance of the various Resort retail stores. .
- Maintain and manage a list of regularly used goods/commodities and their key suppliers.
- Compiles information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of goods.
- Consults catalogue ads, conducts meetings with suppliers/vendors to obtain prices and specifications and submit Request for Quotes.
- May compare prices, specifications and delivery dates and /or place orders with suppliers after approval of their Executive Management.
- Prepares Purchase Orders for printing.
- Compiles records of items purchased or transferred between retail stores, establish retail goods pricing, ensuring deliveries and displays of retail store fronts.
- Conducts analysis on requested items utilizing various reports, and spreadsheet methods to determine best cost, adjusting cost with Executive approval for retail inventory reductions.
- Verify bills from suppliers with bids and purchase orders and submit for payment.
- Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Gaming Commission.
- Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
- Leads by setting a positive example to all Associates.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

AGE and GAMING:
21 years of age or above.
Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Three (3) years of previous related experience in retail purchasing/buying, preferably in a destination Resort or casino/hotel environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of a formal degree.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be data oriented and have good negotiation skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required. Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (A.P.P.) certificate or other Purchasing certification is preferred. Experience using Stratton-Warren Inventory Purchasing system or similar type is req
