The Department of Economic Security, Division of Aging and Adult Services, seeks an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Community Outreach Manager. DAAS supports at-risk Arizonans to meet their basic needs and to live safely, with dignity and independence. Services and programs reach a diverse population of Arizonans.

The Community Outreach Manager is responsible for overseeing a comprehensive statewide outreach and awareness strategy encompassing all three of the Division’s program areas. This position will coordinate with DAAS program leadership, the Division Tribal liaison, and the Public Information Office to identify key outreach strategies, including engaging within tribal communities. This position will also frequently engage with the highest stakeholders in various organizations and will advise the Executive Leadership team in the Division to create a single year and five year outreach and communications strategic plan, including deliverables and metrics to gauge effectiveness.

In-state and out of state travel is required for this position.

Job Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Direct, manage, and supervise professional staff and independent contractors responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating all aspects of outreach initiatives.
• Monitor workloads, identify needs and available resources for community outreach needs and create executable strategies for long-term relationships.
• Collaborate with training and policy teams to keep outreach materials updated.
• Strategic planning to include gaps in public education on DAAS programs and entities useful to broaden partnerships for DAAS programs.

Selective Preference(s):

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• The candidate must possess 2 years of supervisory experience.

Preferred experience includes:
• Previous outreach, strategic planning, public speaking, public information, or experience in program administration and development

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• In-state travel may be required for State business. Driver’s License Requirements. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropri
