Primary Role Function Summary
The Commercial HVAC Installer builds long-term business value by overseeing and coordinating the onsite installation of HVAC systems.

Essential Functions - Tactical

- Take care of the customer.
- Oversee commercial HVAC Projects, interactions with customers, and quality of installations.
- Measure, layout, order, and install ductwork.
- Install HVAC equipment, refrigeration, condensate, & flue piping, and associated components according to code and manufacturers recommendations.
- Work with blueprints, specs, other trades, and inspectors to ensure conformity to specifications, code, and work schedules.
- Contribute to planning for installation of design-build projects.
- Coordinate material needs with operations.
- Keep and maintain a clean workspace.
- Respect others by being safe and aware of others needs.
- Assist in soliciting maintenance contracts, equipment replacements, and other quoted install work from clients.
- Provide as-needed training in the following areas: internal systems, company norms, safety, customer satisfaction, and technical knowledge to new team members.
Requirements
Required Competencies and Qualifications
- Must have 5+ Years Commercial Installation Experience.
- Must be able to admit “I do not know”- There is no such thing as a dumb question!
- Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Drug-free and able to pass entrance and random drug screenings.
- A willingness to invest in tools used in the HVAC field.
- A willingness to invest personal time to increase knowledge and competency in the trade.
- Work Safe and Smart.
- Ability to use the full range of body motion: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, bending, and twisting.
- Ability to safely install/repair gas lines, fittings.
- Ability to safely and responsibly install/repair refrigerant lines.
- Have hand tools required to get the job done. Large and expensive tools are generally provided by the company as needed.
- Gain the trust of the customer.
- Demonstrate a willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles.
- Operate scissor, boom, and genie lifts in a safe manner.
