Job Description
Position Overview
The Manager of Donor Engagement plays a crucial role in advancing the organization's fundraising efforts by effectively managing relationships with donors and strategically engaging them to support the organization's mission. This role involves managing the donor pipeline, soliciting contributions for an assigned portfolio of approximately 35-45 managed prospects, and tracking fundraising progress in Salesforce. The Manager of Donor Engagement will also be responsible for supporting the organization’s Strategic Growth Campaign annual events strategy to enhance individual donor engagement and recognition. The Manager of Donor Engagement may also be involved in other fundraising-related activities, such as participating in donor cultivation events, engaging with donor advisory boards, and collaborating with the marketing and communications team to develop fundraising materials and campaigns. This position will report to the Managing Director of Development, and work closely with the Grants and External Impact Manager and the Director of Communications. Key Responsibilities
Donor Stewardship
- Manage the organization's donor pipeline, ensuring prospective donors are identified, cultivated, and solicited effectively.
- Work closely with the fundraising team to develop strategies for moving donors through the donor pipeline, with a focus on major gift prospects.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date profiles of donors and prospects, including their giving history, interests, and engagement preferences.
- Qualify potential donors to assess their capacity and inclination to give at the $10,000+ level.
- Cultivate relationships with donors to deepen their engagement and understanding of the organization's impact.
- Develop and execute solicitation strategies tailored to individual donors' interests and preferences.
- Ensure timely and personalized stewardship efforts to recognize and thank donors for their contributions and impact.
