Job Description

The Agricultural Technology Research Program (ATRP) within the Intelligent Sustainable Technologies Division (ISTD) of the Aerospace, Transportation and Advanced Systems Laboratory (ATAS) at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a Communications Student Assistant to begin Summer 2025. The Student Assistant will assist the Marketing and Communications team with various tasks related to graphic and digital design, website development, videography, photography, and social media.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Student Assistant

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Computational Media, Digital Media, Social Media, or Related Degree
• Must be registered for at least 3 credit hours with your university during working semesters
• 2.0 or higher GPA

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Drupal-based websites and WordPress websites, including development and maintenance
• Familiarity with Google Analytics or interest and ability to learn
• Experience managing social media platforms, including creating/scheduling content and monitoring/tracking activity
• Photography and videography experience, including post-production tasks for print publications, websites, and social media platforms
• Basic knowledge of graphic design principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud apps, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder
• Basic knowledge of MS Office programs, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Word
