Systems Integration Engineering (SIE) Test Automation Summer Intern

About our group:

The Systems Automation team’s Charter is to develop test automation capability for the Seagate Systems Firmware and Systems Integration Engineering (SIE) organizations through the advocation of the adoption of a unified test automation. This team provides technical leadership and training on test automation initiatives and coordinates automation deployments to teams who are interested in using the automation framework and tools.

About the role - you will:

• Create test automation platform, write code, and implement it into multiple storage systems.
• Convert manual test cases into automated test cases
• Use code libraries to simplify the writing of code.
• Run and fix any errors in programs, systems, and software.
• Review requirements and make any adjustments necessary in the automated tests
• Collaborate with software developers in the creation of programs for their organization.
• Write / design test specs and test case for the developers to create test cases.
• Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies as part of the scrum team

About you:

• Self-driven and self-motivated
• Able to be independent to take on work that is above requirements
• Able to learn independently

Your experience includes:

• Python development and test automation.
• Jenkins knowledge is a plus
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related program of study

 

You might also have:

• Experience and/or understanding of storage systems.
• Basic knowledge of RAID and Operating Systems
• Jenkins Knowledge

The estimated base wage range for this position is $22 - $30/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

 

Seagate offers comprehensive benefits to its eligible Interns, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, and participation in the employee stock purchase plan.  Seagate also offers Interns paid time off, including 12 holidays and a minimum of 48 hours of paid sick leave.  The benefits for this position are based on a 24 to 40-hour-per-week schedule for a full calendar year and may differ depending on work location and tenure with the Company.
