Technical Infrastructure Project Manager

Our team is composed of specialized technical, service and program managers focusing on the delivery of low-latency, high-performing and resilient infrastructure tailored to meet the demands of algorithmic trading environments. We work with application groups and business units to identify and prioritize requirements and business goals then represent them within Infrastructure and appropriate governance bodies.
Position Overview:
This position is for a Technical Infrastructure Project Manager with at least eight years' experience and a strong conceptual understanding of project lifecycle. The candidate will be performing project support on the Morgan Stanley Electronic Trading (MSET) program with business facing attention. The candidate will be responsible for reporting, maintaining project plans, supporting project planning and tracking, issue / risk management. The candidate will produce project documentation and project plans to team standards, and within the current project lifecycle standards, soliciting business sign off, governance, and action where appropriate. They will provide support and oversight of implementation through project completion. The ideal candidate will have a diverse technical background within the financial services industry. This role will be a single individual coordinating cross-silo activity in a Kanban and Agile compliant process. Preferred Qualifications
> 7 years of experience managing cross-functional cross-team projects
> Ability to work autonomously within a changing and dynamic environment
> Excellent people management, problem solving, and communication skills demonstrated by clear and effective communication, diligence, and influence of outcomes
> Ability to be highly organized, proactive, and adept at designing processes.
> Ability to effectively collaborate with highly talented and technical teams.
> Understanding of datacenter deployments and related technologies (cages/racks/servers/switches/storage/cabling/power).
> Experience managing vendor relationships, with an understanding of standard practices for datacenter deployments.
> Understanding and/or experience within an enterprise environment with exposure with at least two of the following:
o RedHat Linux Enterprise
o Low Latency Market Data Technologies
o FPGA technology
o Wireless technology
Responsibilities
> Create and deliver complex project plans and roadmaps.
> Track and manage project progress, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure on-time delivery.
> Set project goals, translate stakeholder needs into objectives, and independently help prioritize deliverables.
> Communicate project progress and decisions effectively to all stakeholders.
> Facilitate collaboration between teams and track/deliver actions for deliverables.
