**This position will be staffed in Salt Lake City, UT **
Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate:
Our team has a need for a Software Engineer who is inspired by a job that challenges them to be proactive, make decisions, and generate ideas that drive product development to greater heights. Responsibilities span the full lifecycle of product development, from architecture and design, through integration, test, and field support. You will contribute to the build, test, and delivery of a set of software applications to be deployed to advanced systems that process modern communications for the U.S. Government. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of concepts related to standard programming practices, software architecture, and networking.
What You Will Do:
Work on complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative while participating on collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams
Once cleared, work on actual field deployments of the product under development, ensuring proper setup, configuration, and functionality of systems being deployed.
Work will be performed with guidance of a product lead and team members who will assist in establishing an approach
Perform code review and support in testing to achieve long-range goals and objectives
What You Will Learn:
You will learn COMINT/ELINT principles and concepts and work side-by-side with industry recognized technical leaders to develop and implement state of the art systems.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience developing in C++ in a Linux environment
Experience with one or more scripting languages, Python, Linux script, bash
Experience with Object Oriented Design and Development
Software development experience (i.e. internship, co-op, or other work or academic project experience)
Experience working both in a team environment and individually
Experience with Qt
Experience with User Interface development
Experience with Angular web GUI development
Experience with Multithreading
Embedded SW Design Experience
Experience in integrating software with hardware
Experience with Configuration Management tools, such as git
Experience maintaining and using build processes (makefiles, CMake)
Experience and/or knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP
Experience with or basic understanding of telecommunications systems concepts and/or signal processing
Experience with Network Protocols
Experience with or basic understanding of International Telecommunication
