Patient Services/Retail Manager

 

Position Title: Patient Services/Retail Manager- Raleigh, NC 

Reports To: Associate Director

Location: WakeMed Raleigh 

Job Details: WakeMed Raleigh is a 600 Bed Hospital. Manager would be training for flex position to learn both Patient Services and Retail Departments. Schedule varies to cover the needs of the operation. Expectations include managing team of associates, improving operations, and focus on patient experience and customer service.

Salary: $65,000-$80,000

Other Forms of Compensation: meal plan, paid time off, holiday pay, relocation assistance if needed

Job Summary

We are seeking a Patient Services/Retail Manager to lead our Patient Services Team in an Acute Care setting in Raleigh, NC.   

Key Responsibilities:

• Establishes goals and oversees implementation of patient and retail food services needs based upon medical direction and patient population
• Hires, directs, coaches, trains, and develops patient service and retail team members
• Complies with dietary restrictions on special or modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guidelines of the diet order limitations
• Ensures patient services staff assists in achieving stated patient satisfaction goals
• Complies with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies
• Participates in/ leads patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs
• Train staff in customer service, portion control, cashier skills as well as safety and sanitation
• Directs staff to provide scheduled retail services in accordance with corporate policies and presentation standards 
• Interacts with customrs to determine satisfaction level
• Interacts daily with production manager and or Executive Chef to assist in production planning and reduce waste 

 

Qualifications:

• Associate degree with one (1) year work experience in food services or related field, or bachelor’s degree in food service technology/management or related field
• Certified Dietary Manager certificate, Registered Diet Technician or Registered Dietitian, preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in food service management preferred in an acute care setting
• ServSafe® certified, desirable
• Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications, electronic medical record, and diet office systems
