As a Business Analyst II, you’ll be the vital link between business objectives and technology solutions. You’ll work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, manage Agile project artifacts, support system implementations, and drive process improvements. This is a hands-on role where your analytical mindset and communication skills will directly impact the success of key initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Requirements & Documentation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and success metrics
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and requirements
• Maintain documentation in tools like Confluence, Jira, and SharePoint
Agile Project Management
• Create and manage JIRA artifacts (Epics, Stories, Tasks, Bugs)
• Lead Agile ceremonies: stand-ups, grooming, sprint planning
• Refine backlog items to reflect evolving priorities
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams
• Support QA teams in defect resolution and testing
• Troubleshoot and escalate user-reported issues
Project Execution
• Manage small to mid-sized projects from design to post-implementation
• Analyze workflows and propose process improvements
• Maintain project timelines using Jira and Advanced Roadmaps
System & Application Support
• Provide functional support for business applications
• Identify trends in user issues and recommend solutions
• Serve as technical and functional lead for designated systems
Training & Documentation
• Create user guides and training materials
• Maintain system documentation and business rules
Governance & Compliance
• Track time and ensure adherence to project governance standards
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role
• Industry experience in Life Insurance, Annuities, or Financial Services
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC
• Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with systems like Salesforce, Sureify, iPipeline, Calcfocus, or Mulesoft (preferred)
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
• Ability to create training materials and deliver user training
