Senior Software Engineer - Developer Productivity Engineering

<p>Build the future of data. Join the Snowflake team.</p><p>We’re hiring a talented senior software engineer to help us build a world class developer platform to fuel the Snowflake Data Cloud. As an engineer in the Developer Tools &amp; Environment team within Developer Productivity Engineering, you will play a central role in delivering the next generation of tools used by our world-class engineers to develop our flagship product. Together with industry-wide experts in distributed systems, cross-cloud development and engineering excellence, you will evolve our developer infrastructure and tooling to be elastic, large-scale, and highly performant with simplicity at its core.</p> <p>As a software engineer in the Developer Tools &amp; Environment team in DPE, you will help Snowflake realize its mission and vision of becoming the premier Data Cloud by accelerating the delivery of our high quality software to production. You will be a key stakeholder in driving clarity on our strategy and partner with product managers to chart the quarterly and long-term roadmaps for the team. You will ensure that the team is executing towards serving the current needs of its customers, while also ensuring that we stay ahead of technological trends and future demands.</p> <h3>Our ideal senior software engineer will have:</h3> <ul> <li>Strong passion for making developers highly productive.</li> <li>8+ years industry experience developing tools and backend services.</li> <li>A track record of flawless technical execution.</li> <li>Excellent problem solving skills, and strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.</li> <li>Fluency in at least one of the following languages: Python, Go, Java, C++.</li> <li>Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate well.</li> <li>A strategic mindset and a strong sense of ownership.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal communication skills.</li> <li>Outstanding written and oral English language skills.</li> <li>Ability to work on-site at our Warsaw, Poland office.</li> </ul> <h3>Bonus points for experience with the following:</h3> <ul> <li>Experience working on enterprise-grade build systems like Bazel.</li> <li>Experience with public clouds and Kubernetes.</li> <li>Multi-tenant systems, with a focus on reliability, performance, isolation and security.</li> </ul>
