Your role at KIK
As Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift you will be responsible for scheduling and performing routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment. The Maintenance Technician will perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic and identify and replace worn or defective parts in a timely manner. The 2nd Shift is Monday through Thursday 11:00pm-3:00pm, and OT as needed. The starting rate is $30.00/hr. - $32.00/hr DOE. with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a $1.00 per hour shift differential.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Inspects, monitors, and tests machinery and equipment.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Develops sufficient understanding of all machinery used in the production process to ensure proper functioning procedures.
- Adheres to all safety rules and regulations and maintains good housekeeping in all related areas.
- Performs line changeovers to different products, including set-up of dilution system to proper specs.
- Notifies Production Manager and Plant Manager of any equipment problems. As well as analyzing and resolving equipment problems or assisting others in solving problems in a helpful and timely manner.
What You’ll Bring
One-year certificate from a technical school is preferred.
2 years’ experience installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Farming equipment and auto mechanic experience preferred but not required.
