Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Dental Assistant at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, GA.  

  

This potential contract position offers:

• 40 hours per week (shall be available to work Tuesday through Friday 08:00am-04:30pm and some Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm)
• Medical/Dental/Vision/401k
• Opportunity to provide Oral Healthcare to our nation's Veterans

 

Position Requirements:

 

• One year experience working as a Dental Assistant
• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program preferred but not required
• BLS thru the AHA
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative healthcare setting
• Provide chair-side assistance for general and specialty dental procedures to include restorative, prosthodontic and surgical procedures.
• Prepare the treatment rooms and instruments for patient care ensuring appropriateness as to procedure being delivered.
• Retract tissue, suction, and pass instruments during procedures.
• Proficient in taking digital radiographs
