Job Description

As a Floor Nurse, you will be providing direct patient care, ensuring their safety and well-being during their stay.

We are seeking a Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Floor Nurse will be responsible for delivering patient care on the unit floor, ensuring patient safety, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with doctors and other healthcare professionals to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

The Floor Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including assessing and monitoring patient conditions while documenting vital signs and other relevant information. They will administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies as well as monitor patients’ vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate. The Floor Nurse will collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team to develop and implement personalized care plans for each patient. Additionally, the nurse will educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, medications, and instructions for post-discharge care. They will ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation in patient records, in compliance with hospital policies. The Floor Nurse must respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of each patient while maintaining a clean, safe environment. 

Shifts available:  Overnight/NOC  (10:45pm – 7am)

Openings: Part time 2-3 days per week, with every other weekend rotation

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current licensure in Illinois.
• Prior clinical nursing experience, with a preference for experience in geriatrics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
