Job Summary
We’re looking for a Sous Chef to join our Central Kitchen team at Gradient Canopy!
This role is responsible for the culinary quality, service and experience of the operation. As the Sous Chef, you will develop and direct team members to deliver delicious, nutritious food, exceptional service, as well as accomplish daily goals and initiatives. You will also oversee the daily administrative and operational tasks, including financial management and analysis, sanitation and safety.
Alongside the Executive Chef, you will partner with our key stakeholders (culinary, nutrition, marketing, behavioral science, concept development, procurement, risk management, operations and people approach) to promote standards, Food expectations, operational excellence and enhance user (partner) experience.

Design, manage and own the overall experience, not just the offerings

Follow all menu and production/prep expectations and guides, opening/closing checklist and responsibility guides

Prepare well-balanced meals to fuel users through the day

Set an expectation of hospitality that is friendly and engaging

Train and develop team members

Assist Executive Chef in ensuring that all products and ingredients that are used are purchased following sector and Food purchasing standards and sustainability commitments

Work with Executive Chef to ensure all employee guidelines are implemented and adhered to

Promote a culture of Food and Workplace Safety
