DCI is searching for a Director of Accounting. This position will be responsible for all aspects of day-to- day global corporate accounting for multiple entities (including International) with over 3,000 employees. This includes General Accounting, consolidation of holding and operating entities, Purchase Accounting for domestic & international acquisitions, Month and Year end closing, Auditor interface, Internal Control management and Ad-hoc reporting. Role is an active participant in supporting FP&A role and Tax.

Hybrid role located in the Channelside area of Tampa, FL. Only candidates in the Tampa Bay area will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Accounting Department, which includes General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inventory Management and Purchase Accounting
  • Conducts annual reviews for direct reports (team of 5)
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements; analyzes variances; creates special reports as required;
  • Prepares monthly bank debt reporting
  • Supports M&A team with pertinent financial information
  • Responsible for the timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts;
  • Assists in the company’s financial planning, budgeting and forecasting process;
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and the effective operation of internal controls;
  • Identifies, investigates, and analyzes potential operational improvement. As appropriate (based on findings) makes proposals for operational changes (policy, procedures, processes, etc.);
  • Recommends benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments;
  • Acts as the primary liaison to external financial audit firms
  • Manages, hires and trains staff;
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
  • Ten+ years of Accounting experience, Big 4 public audit experience preferred
  • Five plus years of progressive experience in accounting management roles
  • CPA required
  • Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains experience a plus
