International Freight Operations Analyst (part-time)

THE ROLE

Pangaea is searching for a part-time (20 hours/week) International Freight Operations Analyst! The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate who wants to be a part of a world-class Operations team and who is eager to learn about global logistics operations. This person will be responsible for coordinating with freight forwarders, carriers, and other service providers while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. This position works closely with multiple external vendors and internal teams to improve operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement across the organization. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate international shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Select, manage, and negotiate with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics service providers.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and manage shipping documentation.
• Analyze freight data to optimize routes, reduce costs, and develop performance dashboards.
• Manage shipment tracking and maintain accurate operational data in the Workboard and Dashboard.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues related to international shipments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align logistics strategies with business goals and improve processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3+ years of relevant experience in a related field.
• Strong proficiency in navigating and analyzing data using Excel or Google Sheets.
• Ability to manage and communicate effectively across multiple systems (Slack, Email, Workflow Planning boards, etc.).
• Quick learner with the ability to apply new skills effectively.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This is a part-time position that pays $25.00 per hour. This person will work approximately 20 hours per week. Some benefits include:
