Job Summary

Summary<br>Responsible for providing personal training evaluations, intervention, and documentation for adolescent through adult populations as indicated in the outpatient setting. Assist with program development and community programs. Practice in collaboration with other members of an interdisciplinary team.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>Yes<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Direct care is provided to clients, including evaluation, assessment, treatment intervention, and referrals from other health care professionals as needed and per established guidelines. <br>
-Documentation of client progress and injuries witnessed and assessed is completed per center guidelines. <br>
-Client teaching is provided as appropriate. <br>
-Attend staff teaching and in-services to support the achievement of stated performance expectations. <br>
-Assigned program activities are delivered to meet quality and outcome goals. <br>
-Be informed of the latest trends in health, nutrition, fitness and exercise. <br>
-Enforces club policies and procedures, as appropriate. <br>
-Administrative and client-based services and activities as directed by the supervisor. <br>


 

Qualifications

Education Associate's Degree Exercise Specialist preferred or Bachelor's Degree Kinesiology preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Certified Personal Trainer [National Certification] - Generic - HR Only required HeartSaver CPR AED - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred Experience Personal trainer experience 0-1 year required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so that others will understand. - The ability to speak clearly so others can understand you. - The ability to identify and understand the speech of another person. - The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. - Monitoring/Assessing performance of self, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
