We are looking for: 

The Senior Scientist II will support the Coatings business segment of Syensqo Novecare at tthe R&I Center in Bristol, Pa. The position is devoted to the support of emulsion polymerization

group via applying current technologies and existing products in new applications as well as supporting the development of new products for various applications in waterborne formulations.

• Conducting emulsion polymerization and perform testing for latex characterizations.
• Collaboration with global and regional R&I teams to facilitate innovation transfers.
• Supporting and working closely with business, marketing and commercial teams.
• Understanding market needs for new products, identify key opportunities with customers and initiate new projects.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area and follow Syensqo safety policies and standards.

You will bring: 

• Bachelor's Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science. Higher degrees will be considered.
• 8+ years of experience working with products and technologies in emulsion
• Polymerizations preferred.
• Strong customer support and technical service experience.
• Working knowledge of additives, surfactants and polymers used in the coatings, adhesives and construction materials markets.
• Experience in waterborne formulations like coatings and adhesives is a plus.
• Strong team player and excellent collaboration skill.
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.

 

You will get:

• Competitive salary and benefits package.
• The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $91,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of fact
