Job Overview

The Manager, ICQA provides leadership and supports the Director in overseeing inventory control and quality assurance operations at Macy's Supply Chain Logistics distribution centers. This role is key to ensuring exceptional customer service through effective management of inventory processes and quality standards.

What You Will Do

• Oversee all aspects of outbound fulfillment operations, including stock management, packing, and shipping, to support company profit objectives and customer service goals.
• Manage, coach, and provide daily leadership for staff.
• Collaborate with local and central management teams to implement and execute inventory control processes.
• Ensure high levels of accuracy, integrity, and quality standards through effective quality assurance across the Fulfillment Center.
• Lead quality-improvement programs, conduct quality training, and produce detailed reports.
• Manage, monitor, and report on cycle count execution and results.
• Prepare and reconcile annual physical inventories.
• Partner with the Central ICQA team to address inventory and quality control process concerns or initiatives.
• Work closely with Loss Prevention on shortage issues.
• Collaborate with the Systems Development team on system improvements to enhance control and reporting.
• Perform other essential functions as deemed necessary by management.

Skills You Will Need

Leadership: Ability to manage, coach, and provide daily leadership for staff to ensure effective operations.

Inventory Control and Quality Assurance: Expertise in implementing and executing inventory control processes, ensuring high levels of accuracy, integrity, and quality standards.

Quality Improvement: Experience in leading quality-improvement programs, conducting quality training, and producing detailed reports.

Collaboration: Ability to work with local and central management teams, the Central ICQA team, Loss Prevention, and the Systems Development team to address issues and implement improvements.

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic math functions.

Communication: Strong skills in open and continuous communication, presenting information clearly and concisely.

Strategic Planning and Problem-Solving: Ability to plan and execute strategies effectively, solve problems, and address issues directly.

• This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands. Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30 lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. May involve reaching above eye level. Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs.
