Job Description Summary:

Under general supervision, coordinates health, dental, life insurance programs and voluntary benefits. Answers frontline questions, processes paperwork, and maintains current knowledge of any benefit plan changes. Available at all times to assist employees on benefit questions. Employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Administers the HR Action Request for changes to benefits.
• Conducts one on one benefits enrollment with employees.
• Informs, interprets, explains, counsels, and determines eligibility of all employees concerning benefits. Assists employees with changes. Helps to resolve problems that employees are experiencing concerning benefits.
• Maintains benefit's phone line and message box.
• Liaison for all life insurance plans.
• Tracks and processes tuition reimbursement.
• Scans documents as needed.
• Tracks and processes leave of absence benefit billing.
• Assists as back up for FMLA and Leave of Absence.
• Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
• Will be a benefit educator for departments

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

• Associates degree or higher required.

LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION:

• N/A

EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to perform office procedures as acquired through 2-3 years secretarial or related clerical experience, preferably in Human Resources.
