Respiratory Therapy Assistant

<p><strong>Position Objective:</strong></p><p>Provides technical support, including maintaining respiratory care and pulmonary function equipment and supplies, as well as administrative and clerical support for department functioning.</p><p><strong>Essential Job Duties:</strong></p><p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p><ol><li>Perform equipment processing, clerical, and administrative support tasks as assigned. Maintain records as required to meet departmental, organizational, and regulatory standards.</li><li>Maintains supply and equipment inventory.&nbsp; Review par levels and order inventory supplies in the quantities needed.</li><li>Performs routine maintenance and quality control activities on respiratory care equipment and arterial blood gas machines.</li><li>Disassembles, assembles, decontaminates, and disinfects respiratory therapy equipment according to manufacturers and departmental standards.</li><li>Uses established department procedures to record and process loaner/rental equipment.</li></ol><p><strong>Educational/Experience Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Respiratory Therapy Student at an Accredited College or University</li></ul><p><strong>Required License/Certifications: </strong></p><ul><li>None</li></ul><p><strong>Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands:</strong></p><p>There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.</p><p>Physical Demands - Medium Lifting</p><p>Medium work.
