Pay Range: $33.00 - $36.50 per hour

Additional $1.50/hr from 6 pm – 6 am

Shift: Night shift, 6pm – 6 am

Looking to put your refrigeration skills to good use? We are looking for an experienced Spiral Refrigeration Technician to join our maintenance team at our pizza plant in Florence, KY. Whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been around the block, we’ve got a place for you. This is steady work in a busy production environment, where you will handle the upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance of our ammonia spiral freezers.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support and maintain spiral and storage freezers
  • Inspect and service AC units, dehumidifiers, compressors, coils, and related gear daily
  • Fix issues and do full overhauls when needed
  • Keep boilers running right and water treatment levels in check
  • Clean coils and make sure airflow is solid
  • Swap out motors, pumps, fuses, valves, and other parts
  • Fix pipes and fittings, help order parts, and keep maintenance records
  • Set up and tear down equipment, help with bigger repair jobs or installs
  • Handle advanced refrigeration work (ammonia systems, compressor resets, probe calibrations, etc.)
  • Keep your tools and work area clean and safe
  • Train up on new skills as needed (Hazmat and other safety training included)

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone with solid mechanical skills, HVAC/refrigeration experience, and a safety-first mindset. If you're reliable, work well on a team, and like getting your hands dirty, we’d love to hear from you.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance and ammonia refrigeration / spiral freezers.
  • Ability to lift up to 90 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekend shifts when needed.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.

Years of Related Experience: 3-5 years of related experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to perform all duties of Maintenance I; Knowledge of PLC software and ability toperform minor PLC program adjustments on equipment. Basic to advanced electrical skills required such as ability touse a voltage/ohm meter, amp meter, ability to understand and use electrical schematic to determine control wiring,ability to check and troubleshoot single phase and three phase wiring, ability to check heater packs on motor starters and able to check for open circuit in control wing; Arc Flash trained; Basic to advanced building skillsrequired such as ability to join PVC pipe, use an electric drain snake, mix concrete, grout tile troubleshoot dockleveler, ability to add/change oil & troubleshoot/repair an air compressor, repair & maintain forklifts and maintainplant aerial equipment; Ability to be certified as a boiler technician; Ability to read and interpret documents suchas safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete work orders,carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form, and complete required paperwork. Ability to add,subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and calculatefigures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Mechanical knowledge andability to expand knowledge and skills via on-the-job and formal training directed at increasing job-related skillsas mandated by management/Supervisor, including all required OSHA training; basic computer skills, including SAPMaintenance Module; Ability to obtain a valid forklift license; Ability to comply with all general safety policiesand procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration(OSHA) rules and regulations; Must be able to lift ninety (90) lbs.
