The role: We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Operations Assistant who thrives in a dynamic environment and with a desire to build a diverse toolbox of healthcare operations skills. Reporting to the Sr. Program Manager as the “go-to person,” you will support the daily operations of the Maine healthcare team by performing administrative and operational tasks. We are looking for a self-starter who is eager to collaborate with different stakeholders and enthusiastic about all things healthcare operations! 
This is a hybrid position. Services are provided both in-person and remotely. Unless otherwise agreed upon all candidates must reside in-market. 

What you will do:

  • Assist in the collection, entry, and reporting of operational data
  • Prepare and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and presentations 
  • Support the operations of the Maine’s Opioid Health Home Program
  • Create check-lists, user guides, workflow diagrams and other types of helpful tools
  • Identify and offer areas of improvement on current processes and workflow
  • Communicate and coordinate with different departments and teams
  • Support member facing initiatives and communications

You are a good fit if you have:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • 2-3 years of operational and/or customer service experience
  • Strong knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with data collection and organization 
  • An affinity for precision and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team
  • Problem-solving skills with a bias towards action

It will also be great if you have:

  • Experience working with an EHR
  • Experience working at a healthcare start-up
  • Experience working with Medicaid and understand different payor nuances

Work location requirements

  • BLP operates in hybrid and remote work environments, which allows us to better meet our members and partners where they’re located. Candidates applying for this role must be willing and able to travel locally within the communities we serve and/or travel to onsite meetings as expected in coordination with their department and business needs.  

When working from home, the requirements include:

  • Must have reliable internet service with a fast upload/download ability
  • Ability to ensure any protected health or proprietary data/information is not visible (or audible) to others in any work location
  • Must have a quiet space to speak to members, team members, or external partners with minimal background noise and distractions
