Summary

As Senior Manager, Internal Communications, you will create and deliver internal communications content and campaigns that shape how employees experience the company. This role sits within the Office of the President and reports to the Senior Director of Strategic Communications.

You will support internal communications strategy through execution, content development, channel management, and close partnership with the People team. Your work will help connect Temporal’s technical depth with long-term direction, ensuring internal communications are clear, consistent, and useful as the company scales.

What you’ll do

  • Internal communications content and campaigns: Create internal communications content and ongoing campaigns that support clarity, consistency, and employee experience across the company.
  • Strategy translation and support: Partner with the Senior Director of Strategic Communications to translate internal communications strategy into content, campaigns, and day-to-day execution.
  • People partnership and employee experience: Partner closely with the People team to collaborate on internal communications that support a great employee experience.
  • Channel management: Manage and maintain internal communications channels, including the intranet and company-wide forums, ensuring information is accurate, current, and easy to find.
  • Executive communications support: Support internal executive communications by drafting content and preparing materials for company-wide updates, leadership meetings, and major announcements.
  • Company-wide moments: Build communications content for all-hands meetings, leadership updates, and other major internal moments.
  • Cadence and quality: Maintain internal communications cadence, sequencing, and quality standards across channels.
  • Feedback and improvement: Review feedback and engagement signals to improve internal communications content and delivery over time.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience: 4-8 years in strategic communications, internal/exec comms, or corporate messaging roles
  • Writing experience: Proven ability to craft messaging and manage company-wide communications.
  • People partnership: Experience collaborating with People or HR teams on internal communications tied to employee experience, change, or growth.
  • Channel familiarity: Experience managing internal communications channels such as intranets, Slack, or similar platforms.
  • Public speaking: Experience leading internal comms for large-scale company-wide initiatives, including all-hands meetings, town halls, AMAs, and leadership messaging.
  • Executive exposure: Experience working with senior leaders and executives on internal communications, including leadership updates and company-wide messaging.
  • Judgment and execution: Strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Educational background: BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Developer-first context: Experience in a developer-first or highly technical organization.
  • Modern tooling: Familiarity with tools such as Notion, Slack, or similar collaboration platforms.

Compensation

  • The estimated pay range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000
